The problem with the Middle East, after living here for 5 years, is a very simple one. Back home in the UK to have sex ’outside marriage’ is a normality and a part of being in a relationship. Being drunk in the UK is also normal. Taking drugs is a part of London society!

The Middle East, being the the influence of the West is stronger (in the form of globalisation and i-everythings), are copying and imitating what we do in the West to break away from their ’restrictive’ religion and cultures (little do they know sometimes how lucky they are).

The ONE key problem is this. In the UK we understand there is a responsibility behind every action, whether its sex with the misses, staggering back home 3am with work tomorrow or enjoying that buzz in a rave. Responsibility is something the ME refuses to accept.

Which is why Israel and Palestine will never be solved. Iraq will remain an economic and military burden on the US economy and budget. And generally the World will slowly come to understand that its not bombs or arms we need to use to deter terrorists and extremists. Its toys.
